Taking a Stroll Down Memory Lane

It sucks sometimes…..

Ughhh, I just got lost in a many a years worth of pictures!

I’m feeling old and even more lost. I have already lived a lifetime full of adventures! I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m going to find out…

I know that I have more ahead of me. But I have grown as a person, and I just want different things now! So here I go, changing and growing! Learning to take things as they come…life is meant to teach you who you are! I am changing daily.

Who you were and who you are, that can be two totally different types of things! Dont let anyone tell you who you can and can’t be…

Seeking a Resolution

So, yet again…here I am picking up the pieces! Trying to maintain and survive this roller coaster that is my life.

It’s been chaotic for sure. I have more issues on my plate than I know what to do with! I’m confused, overwhelmed, and frustrated…

Although, in my kids eyes, things are continuing on as usual!  Life goes on, yet here I sit seeking a resolution…We have definitely had several adventures so far this summer. Those will be saved for explanation at a later time though….

I can only hope this is a new beginning. We need it, that’s for sure,

Hanging in there though!

Disaster in the Making

I am not able to get to my Dr’s appointment. This isn’t what I had in mind when I planned this Dr’s appointment. It just sucks and feels like its getting worse and worse. My life is a mess right now, probably going to have to move in the near fututre…

I wished I could just rewind life, and go back to when life was simpler and more fun. Adulthood isn’t all it is cracked up to be. I miss the old days, when I was carefree and not so stressed. I miss who I used to be! Yet I can’t seem to find that person at this moment.

This is not how I envisioned my year going!

I am not a patient person, especially when my world is crumbling around me! I am not sure how much more I can take…This disaster is getting the better of me at this moment. And I can’t continue living my life this way. Like a tornado came out of left field, and is blowing my whole world to bits and pieces right now. So here I sit pondering where I should go from here.

I can’t imagine my life moving forward right now. I’m stuck in a big rut, and can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel….Actually, it feels like it’s growing more and more distant.

So goodbye for now!

Friday Poetry: Guest Post, by Ruman Hafsa

Today’s Friday Poetry is brought to you by Ruman Hafsa.

Ruman Hafsa is a 20 year old student, studying Pharmacy. She is currently in his 3rd year! Ruman lives in India. Her motto is, “A rhythm of poetry is not just the rhyming of words, but the inner voice of poet’s heart.”

Here is her poem his titled I wonder.

I Wonder…

I wonder what these clouds are
A veil or an illusion
Concealing away the blinking stars
Fading away the moon & sun

I wonder where the birds fly to
And where do they come from
Soaring together
I wonder what do they hum

I wonder what the lightening is
Welding the broken sky somewhere?
And what is the thunderous noise I hark
Dacoits firing guns in some affair?

I wonder who painted the sky blue
And who puts the rainbow there
Where the sun sleeps at night
And who blows the vibrant air

I wonder these things & many more
But do not have innuendo to
I ask them about it, they say “don’t know”
I don’t fathom how to solve without a clue…

Succeeding at Life: Change and Courage

So I have recently made several life changes. Cutting out toxic people, started going to the gym, and we are planning our first family vacation in 6 years.

I am happy to say that I feel like a completely different person. So I am going to be working on a sticking to a schedule to see if I can’t find time for my writing. So many things that I love have fallen by the wayside in the past. But I am here to say that it ends now….I feel so much better, better than I have in a very long time, and it is sad to say but to be honest…..I don’t think I was including enough me time into our busy daily routine. I have been feeling so much better as of late! Not only am I getting quality time with myself to hear my own thoughts, I am losing weight in the process. What woman doesn’t love that? Hahahahaha

I didn’t realize how much I needed a change, but I am glad I finally found the courage to make the leap and move forward. So if you are feeling stuck in a rut, try new things. Get out of your comfort zone! I know I did, and I am loving every second of it. It doesn’t have to be anything drastic, just try something new and different.

I am hoping that these changes I’ve made recently are exactly what I needed to bring about all the changes I envisioned for me and my family…

Have you made any life changes recently? Going well? Or not?

The sun never says to the earth,
“You owe Me.”Look what happens with
A love like that,
It lights the Whole Sky.”

Faith is Love

News Flash: Moving is No Fun!!

I know it’s been a while but I hate moving!! And I feel like I have just spent the better part of the past 2 weeks moving, in 90 degree heat. I went from 3,300 sq ft to 864 sq ft…. It has been a hard transition for all of us but we are managing. I started working well over 3 weeks ago too, so that has started taking up a substantial amount of my time. It sucks but such is life. It has to be done. I can and will not let my boys down. They need me now more than ever. My mental health has been all over the place the past few weeks with all the changes happening in my life right not. I hate change also!!

I don’t do well when my routine changes. This past month has been especially hard. It is just so hard accepting that the whole way my life plays out has changed. I am glad to say that things are ever-changing. I love the way our life used to be! But without change nothing is ever going to get better. We had to make changes for ourselves as well as our children. The fear of change will hold you back more than anything. I am scared but we have to move forward.

I hope and wish on a star that things will work out in our relationship but I am just so uncertain at this moment. I am glad to say that we are working on us as individuals as well as a couple. But this is not an overnight fix. I need time to assess our situation after such a drastic change in our lives. We both have wants and desires that are not being fulfilled. This is a huge aspect of our relationship that we are working on. We need to be individuals as well as a couple.

Loving someone with a mental illness is a daily challenge. I can honestly say that I am most hard to handle sometimes. It is part of who I am! I wished there were certain things about me that I could change but I can’t. So this is where you must decide to love me through it all or not at all.

I hope that you will forgive me for my absence recently. I am sort of settled into the new place, and I have cable internet now… Soooo I am back!!

Everlasting Love

So you ever just felt a connection with someone from the first minute you meet them? You just know that this is the person you were meant to find your whole life….Well I found him! He’s a great guy! He’s funny, smart, and handsome. He’s a great father! But all things aside, what happens when Mr. Perfect isn’t so perfect for you anymore? Do you stay and work it out, or leave and hope that you can be amicable for the kids?  This is my current situation….

I thought everything was fine! Turns out he was actually very miserable on the inside and just didn’t know how to tell me. So now it’s day 4 without him; I’m not sure if I’m more hurt, sad, or relieved? Do you really think it’s possible to pick yourself up off the ground this quickly? Especially after you feel like your heart has been ripped out of your chest and stomped on? I wonder if subconsciously I needed the same relief? I thought everything was semi-ok….yes we’ve been having a few issues the past year or so but I had no idea it was this bad. I always chalked it up to my psychotic mind! Or meds needing to be adjusted slightly….

Now here I sit, alone and lonely. Trying to be strong for my boys while emotionally I feel so broken! I’ve had my fair share of tears come lately, and ya know what? I’ve realized I’m better and stronger than this! I can do this, he thinks I can’t but surely he will be surprised to see my rock this sheer insanity! I’m a survivor, after all I’ve been through, and I will pick up the pieces and move on. It may take me several months to get back right and stable on my own two feet again, but I promise you one things for sure. You can’t hold down a determined woman, and especially a Mother!

Love has a way of blinding you! It makes it impossible to see all those small imperfections that drive you insane. I am not sure that I wanted this but possibly I needed it. I’m not saying I’m glad he’s gone, in fact I’m more miserable than I have been in a while! You don’t go from living with and loving someone of 5 years to instantly hating them. I can’t even fathom hating him. He’s been the most wonderful thing to ever happen to me. But it had become apparent that we just can’t live together. He saved us from the darkest depths of hell!! But alas, a promise that did not mean enough to him and has now shattered me…Promising someone forever is now not a saying that I will ever believe again.

So how do you cope after a break-up?

Mad and crying, or rearing to go and ready to move on?

Who or What Inspires You?

So here is the age old question, What Inspires You? Now, I feel like I should say that there is no right or wrong answer here! This is left up to each individual person to decide, and it will vary significantly from person to person. change

First lets delve into what it means to be inspired, the definition for the word inspire is to make (someone) want to do something : to give (someone) an idea about what to do or create. It can also mean to cause (something) to happen or be created; or to cause someone to have (a feeling or emotion).

Inspirational-Quotes-Sayings

So who or what inspires you?  It can something as simple as nature, your kids, music, love, or a multitude of other things. For me, it is the sounds of nature. The chirping of birds, the sound of a thunderstorm, the sound of rain falling are all very near and dear to me. I absolutely love it and this is when my creative juices flow the best. Here is an example from Youtube. I especially like to listen to this music while I am writing or quilting. It is a feeling of being free and one with nature.

 Inspirational

So you say, how do I find what is inspirational to me? Well, you just keep trying different things. Like previously stated, there is no right or wrong way to be or get inspired. It is totally different for each person, so just keep trying different things/methods until you find one that helps you do whatever it is you want to do. This can simply be listening to specific kind of music, or smelling a certain smell(like lavender), or being outside. Keep trying new things! Hopefully you will know of at least a few ideas to try. If not, a simple Google Search will offer many suggestions.

inspiration

So, now you’ve found something that inspires you? Now what? You hop to whatever needs to be done. I use my music to motivate my mind, most of  the time it works very well. So, anytime I need or want to do some writing or something else that is important; I listen to my nature sounds. I have many downloaded on my phone. This is a regular occurrence for me. These are available through many different sources such as Amazon Prime Music, Youtube, Pandora, and many other sites.

Pinterest also has a ton of pictures that have inspirational quotes. I have one above my desk that says, “You are far too smart to be the only thing standing in your way.” I printed it out and hung it up because this quote hits me right in the heart. No matter the circumstance, you are far too smart to let yourself be the only thing standing in your own way.

So, tell me. What inspires you?
